Alpha Island is a vibrant place full of interesting people, and where your adventures will take place
The island is know for its extremely tall skyscrapers, all build in record time with KION technology
Most travellers arrive through the city's KION Station, it is both an airport and a train station, though the trains and planes might looks a bit different than what you would expect.
Some of the malls in the commercial district dwarf even the mighty KIONs
Far away you can spot the highlight of the island, KION University. Electronic tracks help citizen navigate around the city
One of the most popular hang out spots is at food alley. There is no shortage of restaurants, but most impressively is that they are all automatic restaurants, working more like a vending machine that can cook a 5 star meal
Another hang out spot is at the park near the station. There are some benches and an ice cream station, so it is perfect for the summer. Far away one can spot cargo containers coming from the station and into the construction district
Alpha Island has also a monument to the first KION ever created. It has an uncanny similarity to your own, I wonder if it means anything...
Alpha Island Level Design [WIP]
This is the level design for the hub world of the turn-based strategy RPG, type.KION. The hub core thematic purpose is to immerse the player in the fantasy of type.KION, as such there are many side activities for the player to interact within between missions. Structurally, the hub must also connect all the missions and story points. The key challenge with this level was making sure that navigating the hub world was fast and fun so the player will not be discouraged to engage in side activities.
Welcome to Alpha Island! One of the newest islands to join the KION Archipelago, it is less than 10 years old and it already has become one of the world's most famous travel destinations. The main attraction is no doubt KION University, the first teaching facility dedicated to training young talents on how to use their KION potential for the greater good.
Browse through the commercial district for clothes, accessories, and furniture or have a barbecue with your friends at the local beach, KION Island may be small, but there is no shortage of fun. End the day with a fantastic meal by one of the top-of-the-line automatic restaurant units and rest easy in the luxurious university accommodation.
